I am a Brisbane based wedding photographer who is lucky enough to travel around the world documenting love stories for those who value real, authentic images that capture the feeling and emotion within an unguarded moment.
I take a very simple and nurturing approach with my clients. I don’t see the value or point in any overly staged or posed images. I understand that it can be quite confronting at first when you have a camera following you around for the day and sometimes you’re unsure of how to act or what to do with your hands etc. I purposely place my couples in positions (if needed) that allow you to engage and interact with each other, shifting your focus from me back to the person you’re about to spend the rest of your life with. This also allows me to capture those moments that truly reflect you as a couple, and the feelings you have for each other. I also always try to give you two some space as well, without the camera in front of you. I want you to take the time to just be in this moment with each other, and not worrying about anything or anyone else, even just for 5 minutes. I promise you it’s worth it.
I am so privileged to be able to do what I do, not only because I get to travel the world connecting with incredible people, but I am the one person that gets to spend the most amount of time with you both on your big day. I don’t take that lightly! The last thing I want to do is just be another vendor, that turns up, takes photos and then you’ll never see me again. I only take a limited amount of weddings each year, just to ensure that I can give the time to my couples that I need, to allow for real connections to form. By the end of it, I want it to seem as though I was simply a friend that happened to have a camera on them and take epic photos!
So if you are looking for a wedding photographer who will simply turn up, take some photos and then leave, that’s not me. However, if you’re after a photographer who is genuinely invested in telling your story, who takes the time to get to know you and is always down for a chat over a coffee or glass of wine, then that’s me.
